How the links are marked
A disclosure is only useful if you see it before you click, so it sits on the page that has the link, not only on this page:
- Every page with an affiliate link in its text opens with a short note that says so, with a link to this page. When the first affiliate link sits further down, below the first screen of text, the same note is repeated just before it. On pages with Amazon links, the note also carries the Amazon Associate statement.
- The recommendation cards carry the words “Affiliate link” next to their button, with a link to this page.
- Every affiliate link is tagged as sponsored in the page code, so search engines know it is a paid link.
- Clicking a link costs you nothing extra; the commission, if any, is paid by the seller.
This follows the Endorsement Guides of the US Federal Trade Commission (16 CFR Part 255): a relationship with a seller has to be disclosed clearly and conspicuously, as close as possible to the recommendation; a disclosure kept on a separate page is not enough on its own.
Editorial independence
Pattern statistics come from the test bench and are computed with the same method for every pattern; no partner has any say in them, and a commission never changes a verdict. Recommendation cards are chosen by the topic of the page: the candlestick course on candlestick pages, TradingView where its tools fit the subject. When a product is described, its features and prices are checked on its official pages and the date of that check is shown.
