About PatternsWizard
PatternsWizard is run by Amaury. The site measures chart and candlestick patterns on full market history, against random entries, and publishes the method so anyone can check it.
Who runs the site

PatternsWizard is run by Amaury, who signs every page. He is passionate about finance, quantitative trading and data analysis, and built the PatternsWizard test bench, which detects each pattern on full price history and measures what happened next against random entries.
What the test bench does
The bench measures each pattern instead of repeating what is said about it:
- Six asset classes. Crypto, forex, stocks, ETFs, indices and commodities, on several timeframes.
- Full history. All the history available, cleaned of bad bars. Crypto data includes delisted pairs; stock data can miss tickers that disappeared after a merger or bankruptcy, so stock results may be flattered by the survivors.
- Written rules. Each pattern is a geometric rule applied only to information known at the time of the signal.
- Against chance. How often a pattern moved the expected way is compared with random bars of the same asset, the verdict tests the excess return over the rest of the market, and each trade is compared with the same trade on random dates.
- A self check. The whole pipeline runs on random-walk prices, where no pattern can work; it runs on three random seeds and has to pass before any number is published: no false edge may repeat across seeds, and there may be no more false edges than chance allows.
A summary of the method is on the home page, and the numbers can be queried on the data and MCP server page. Results are before fees and slippage.
How the pages are written and checked
| Step | What it means |
|---|---|
| Rewrite | Every page is rewritten before the new site goes online, and signed by Amaury, who is responsible for its content. |
| Numbers from the bench | Pattern statistics are pulled from the latest bench run, never typed by hand; a missing number is shown as missing, never as zero. |
| Dated facts checked | Prices, product features, rules and regulations, biographies and quotes are checked against primary sources (the publisher, the official text, the regulator). |
| Date shown | Each checked page shows the date of that check under its title. |
| Unverified means removed | A fact that cannot be traced to a source is removed rather than guessed. |
What the site does not do
- No investment advice: nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
- No trading signals, no paid groups, no managed accounts.
- No promise of profits: past pattern statistics do not guarantee future results, and trading involves a risk of loss.
